5 Best Paid Learning Platforms to Prepare for JEE 2018

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is national level engineering entrance examination conducted yearly for admission to different Engineering Institutes in INDIA. The JEE score is the ultimate criteria for admission to the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs), Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and National Institute of Technology (NITs) and also some other colleges designated as “Centrally Funded Technical Institutes” (CFTIs).

Previously two different exams were held for the admission to these national institutes, the AIEEE and the IIT-JEE. But later on both the exams were replaced by one single examination, the JEE, divided into two subcategories, the JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced respectively. Aspirants clearing the JEE-Main can only apply for the JEE-Advance.

Some institutes like the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISERs), Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, and the Indian Institute of Science utilise the score acquired in JEE-Advanced as a basis for admission.

 About the JEE-Main

JEE-Main is conducted for the admission of students in NITs and IIITs. Divided into two papers, students can opt for either or both of them. Both the papers contain multiple choice questions. While Paper-1 is for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses and can be conducted both in online and offline modes, Paper-2 is for admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses and can be conducted in offline mode only.

JEE Main has a fixed exam structure which is not altered every year. The duration for Paper-1 is of three hours and consists of thirty multiple choice questions in each of the three subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Maths).  For each correct answer 4 marks is awarded, and for each incorrect answer there is a negative marking of 1 mark.

About the JEE-Advanced

Aspirants who clear JEE-Main can apply for JEE-Advanced examination. The JEE-Advanced, unlike JEE-Main, does not have a fixed exam structure and it keeps on changing every year. However, no drastic changes are made. There are two papers in JEE Advanced, Paper-1 and Paper-2, and it is compulsory to appear in both the papers. The JEE-Advanced 2018 will be held on May 20, 2018 by IIT Kanpur and will be conducted completely online for 3 hours. Expectations are that the JEE-Advanced 2018 exam pattern will also have full marking, partial marking, zero marking and negative marking.
